Dr. Oz

Little did I know when I accepted a position at Palmer College’s video department, just where this new job would actually lead.  I knew Palmer would offer me many career opportunities, I didn’t expect one of them would be to actually become a chiropractor.  After working 5 years in the video department at Davenport’s Palmer College of Chiropractic, I realized that I was brought to Palmer for a reason.  That reason was to become a doctor of chiropractic.  Those 5 years allowed me to experience and learn about chiropractic from some of the best in the profession.  I feel it was destiny.

After graduating in 1999 from Palmer College in Davenport Iowa,  I chose the warmer climate of the south.  4 years of scorching heat proved to be too much so I moved back to the midwest to join up with a colleague in DeWitt Iowa.  2 years later I opened Oswald Family Chiropractic in Waukee. I took great care in the design of the office, incorporating the latest state-of-the-art technology and since it’s opening, my practice has catered to all individuals seeking optimal health and wellness, although families and children are our main focus.  In November of 2008 we were proud to bring Sara McEvoy L.M.T into our family.  Sara has been a great addition to our team offering yet another aspect of natural healthcare to our practice members.

I firmly believe in educating the community about how Chiropractic is more than just “back pain” relief.   One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking that the absence of pain equals better health.  It’s that concept that has gotten our healthcare system into the trouble it is in today….attempting to fix the problem once it arrives instead of working hard to prevent the problem from occuring in the first place.  My passion is to teach and educate about the power of the body and the importance of the nervous system in optaining optimal health and wellness.  Stop by our office sometime and visit with Sara and I.  I think you will find that our down to earth approach is just what you are looking for!
